Every theater had it playing for about four months because it was that popular and  it pulled in 53,900,335 dollars over that time. The film was also shown in IMAX which gives it a step up in the film industry. Many people enjoy having the close up into the life of paranormal activity and it gives off more horror. Just in the first week the movie got $33,957,365 and was in 3,412 theaters. With putting the film everywhere and giving previews of the horror to come made everyone so ready for the movie. Paramount did an amazing job with the film and it satisfied peoples need.
